Horse Camp is run over 3 days in the March camp and 4 days in the August camp. You can arrive from 12pm on the first day of camp. You can make use of the farm ride but you will need to arrange this directly with Somerford Park.
You will enjoy two lessons a day across a range of disciplines. Each camper can choose which lessons they would like to take part in, but it must include a test riding lesson so we can accommodate everyone's choices. On the booking form you should indicate your choice of lessons.
Lesson times will be allocated. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. Please arrive at your lessons on time so you do not miss out.
Test Riding lessons will be 40 minutes long and you should specify if you would like to work on anything specific. Show jumping lessons will be in groups of 2-3 riders and will be 45- 60 minutes. Please state your level of riding so that we can pair you up with campers of similar abilities. Cross country lessons will be in groups of 4 and will be an hour long. You will be grouped up with people of similar capabilities to ensure you get the most of your time.
Camp includes stabling, 2 bales of shavings, use of the Pavilion for tea and coffee making and chill time and it has a shower block. Electric hook up is available and should be arranged directly with Somerford Park Farm.
Lunches and dinners are catered for. Lunches will be worked out around your lessons. Dinners will be served at a time that everyone can attend. Campers are asked to provide their own breakfasts. You can purchase breakfast from the onsite cafe from 10am.
