Cross Country lessons at Buck Up Horse Camp are provided by carefully selected and professional instructors who themselves have years of experience and currently conduct training clinics around the North West.
We will ask you to provide a description of your capabilities on the Cross Country course so we can ensure you are teamed up with suitable riders of the same capability so that you can get the most out of your training session. Do not be afraid to state that you are a nervous rider or a beginner to Cross Country training as our aim is to give you as much confidence as possible and build a great partnership with your horse.
Our Cross Country lessons are arranged in small groups of people so that you can get the maximum enjoyment from it. And remember our professional photographer Jo Prestwich will be there to capture your special memories. Jo will join us at various times to provide you with images of your training sessions. Arrangements to purchase these images can be made directly with Jo.
As safety is paramount to us we ask that you adhere to the equipment rules of wearing suitable protective clothing, including current standards body protectors and suitable head wear. You should wear a skull cap on the X Country course.
Cross Country schooling will take place on the 80 acre schooling field at Somerford Park Farm. Here you will be faced with a variety of Cross Country fences including ditches, water combinations and a good run out.
Please make sure you arrive on the field on time to make sure you get the most out of your lesson.
